Unpredictable

Kaixo! Ser Moduz? Ondo~ [Hi! How are you? I'm fine]

Ok, so April showers bring May flowers right? Not in San Sebastian. The weather has been very unpredictable these days. We get BEAUTIFUL sunshine, followed by some rain, hail the size of golf balls, mist and then who knows... Yes, our days are very unpredictable but the good thing is that it's not cold. So even if it's raining, you don't need a heavy coat on which is great!

Life in Spain has been pretty routine now. My Mondays and Wednesdays are the busiest so that leaves Tuesdays-Thursdays-Fridays and the weekend to pretty much chillax. Life without "friends" is pretty difficult but oh well, it can only get better right? That's why I can't wait for October when I get to start language school (I have never been so excited to go to school) so I can meet people! But I gotta admit that even though I like learning languages, Euskera is a pain in the butt. It's such a complicated language, but my goal is that by the time I leave Spain, I'm going to be at a conversational level. I don't know if that's possible but gotta aim high to achieve something! So far I can say sentences with "I am" "I'm going" "I'm coming from" "I'm from" "Mine" "my" "on top", etc and all the other subject-verb conjugations with those verbs. I know it's not that much but trust me, try learning this almost-extinct-language and it's going to drive you nuts.

April newsletter--I know I've failed, but April was a pretty chill month so I've decided to do a April/May edition so wait 1.5-2 weeks for the great 2-month edition!!!

But yea, anyways, I've been in SUMMER MODE since I've come back from Paris. haha I know it's been like a month already but you know when in school and you just want it to be summer break and can't wait? Well that's me right now! This summer is gonna be pretty legit and can't wait till June 24th when it all begins. Plus I GET TO SEE MY PARENTS for the 4th of July weekend :). Yup! They're coming up to Seattle and I get to spend 5 days with them! I hope I'm not busy and that I can be with them all the time!

Work wise, I feel like it's been a constant challenge to truly open up people and have this close relationship with people. However, I thank the big homie G. that at least I'm slowly developing relationships with my English students and that hopefully I'll continue to do so as time goes by. Hopefully after summer they'll still be doing English classes with me because I'd like to keep the relationships going. However one of my closest students-lets call her Chacha- will be leaving to go to another country to continue her career there and that makes me very sad panda because right when I was getting closer with Chacha, she has to leave. But she said that I could come visit her in her new crib so that's good~! Oh also one of the people I've met through the English weekend we did in March- lets call him Mambo- will be going to LA in June. That's how Mambo and I got to talking because well duh, he's going back to my area. We've been keeping in touch through Facebook [gotta love Facebook chat] and he knows how desperate I am for friends... I guess it's pretty obvious. But Mambo gave me his digits so that we could kick it before we both leave for the summer and Mambo said that he'll try to introduce me to people so that I can have friends or at least acquaintances here in this city, so PTL for that! But too bad that Mambo won't be coming back till like next year :( so oh well. I ask that you lift me up for that :)

The picture here is from when I took a trip to Pamplona on May 1st because it was a holiday here [Labor day] and I gotta say that it was great! I gotta go back there again sometime when things are open because it was a great city! And hopefully next year, I'll get to witness the running of the bulls! I can't this year because I'll still be in Seattle. It has always been in my Bucket-list to go see the running of the bulls! I also got to go to Vitoria-Gasteiz (the capital of the Basque country) and it was a cute city but Pamplona was better! I did get to see a traditional Basque fair and eat Talo (a taco-like Basque food) and it was really good!

Anyways, enough rambling. And for those who read all the way down here, YOU'RE THE BEST!

Gero harte! Ni oso polita naiz! Eskerrik asko. Ni extea nago. Ai ama! Norena blog da? Nire blog da. Agur![See you later! I am very pretty! Thank you. I'm at home. Oh my gosh! Whose blog is this? It's my blog. Bye!] haha
