Yesterday, I finally had the opportunity to go in the water and it was soooooooo nice! I've missed this weather... But the whole tanning experience was no bueno. So my American friend Amanda and I were at the beach for almost 4 hours, mind you I did put some sun-screen on, but it wasn't enough... If you see me, from the stomach area and down, I look like a lobster... I'd put some pictures up but I don't want to freak anyone out! haha It hurts soooo much and I can't even go buy some aloe vera since it's Sunday and nothing is open. So I have to endure this pain until tomorrow. The beach here is so beautiful, and I felt like everyone in this town came out yesterday to the beach because it was pretty crowded.
And if you were asking yourself if I've seen birthday suits, the answer is yes. You see, you don't need a bathing suit here if you want to come lay down at the beach. Most of the people here just come in their normal clothes, strip down, and only bring the bottom part of their swimsuits or sometimes nothing at all. I remember the first time I've seen birthday suits I could not stop giggling but I feel like now I'm pretty much used to it. It's not weird, it's just European! haha
I hope this nice weather keeps up because it's just the greatest thing ever!
By the way, I bought my first pair of Basque shoes--Espadrilles! Yup espadrilles are a Basque shoe! I haven't worn it yet, but I sure will pretty soon! But I have seen many grandmas and grandpas wearing this so maybe it's old people shoes, but I don't care because it's pretty cute, and comfortable~! I've learned that espadrilles don't have a right or a left, so you just pick a side and start walking~ haha Also they had every single color and I might have to go back and buy me a bright green one!
