I am now approaching my 3rd anniversary soon. Life here in the Basque country is slowly becoming like a "home" to me in a way but not quite there yet. Three months, wow...Three is a big number. We always say "third time's a charm" or we always count till three or we have three prices "gold, silver, bronze/1st, 2nd, 3rd." So for my 3rd anniversary I've decided to go big, and go to PARIS! Well I didn't plan it, but it happened to land around my 3rd anniv. so YAY! lol
But life is not always about the traveling, prices, and good stuff unfortunately... I wish I was always the bearer of good news but sometimes we've got to drop some bad-news-bombs.
When life throws you lemons, duck or it will hit your head!
So, this reminds me of a story: well, not really but I just HAD to say it.
I remember saying that I was most afraid of saying goodbyes but most importantly that something might happen while I was gone...
1) About 2 weeks ago I got a phone call from my mom saying that my dad had gotten into a really big accident on the freeway. The car was totaled and he was unconscious after the hit. The doctors said it was a miracle he even survived with only a few broken ribs and scratches. Obviously the Big homie G. was watching over him and I am so thankful for that! SOOO THANKFUL! My dad's doing good, but pr@y for fast recovery and also pr@y that my mom and brother. It's really hard for him to walk or even sit. Whenever I talk with him on the phone, we can't even crack up jokes because it hurts for him to laugh which is sucky because joking around is both of our fortes. But I am happy that my dad still has his sense of humor during this time of pain.
2) I received the news that one of my childhood friends' mom has lung cancer. She was like family to us and I am really saddened by this news. Pr@y that her chemotherapy goes well and that the cancer won't metastasize. Pr@y for my friends to have all the strength they need.
3) Pr@y that the Big homie G. gives me a lot of patience. I REALLY need it. Long story. If you want to know it, shoot me an email! haha.
4) Pr@y for my foot! I have my follow up appointment on Tuesday!!!!
And I leave with you with this:
Does it look familiar? Look at my banner picture at the top. This is the same picture only at day time~
