I'm never...

Never say never. It's true. We always say "I'm never this" or "I'm never that," specially because we think that it's never going to happen to us.

What am I talking about? Well, you see, when I began my journey, I always had the notion that I was never going to lose a flight, or get my baggage lost/delayed, or things like I'm never going to eat this, or do that... you know what I'm saying?

One of the biggest of my "I'm nevers" was getting pick-pocketted. I'm smart enough to know that in Europe, or anywhere really, it can happen. I've had the lecture from my parents, and from people here to watch out for pick-pocketters. We all know that you ALWAYS have to be careful, and ALWAYS know your surroundings, and yea... but guess what, all the "I'm nevers" I mentioned above happened to me + others that would take up forever to write.

UGH Sooooooo frustrating.

So let me tell you the deets,

I went down to Madrid this past weekend to drop off some of my stuff, so I wouldn't have a lot things to bring down when I do my final moving at the end of the month. I get off the bus, get my bag and head on to the metro. Stupid me, put my wallet in the front part of my backpack, not even thinking about anything. I got on the metro, transferred to the next metro, and then saw my reflection and noticed that my backpack's pocket was unzipped. Crap.... now you know the story. I looked in and no wallet.

I cancelled all my cards and everything.... but it's just so annoying. What's done is done though, no harm was done so I'm not complaining anymore, but the fact that I got pick-pocketted not even 10 minutes after arriving frustrates me the most.

Oh well, please pray that no more pick-pocketting will happen and that I will be smarter about these things!

So to all my fellow people journey-ing with me, WATCH OUT, IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU TOO!!!!
