Repeat please.

Ok, so when living in a foreign country, specially when you have to learn a new language we often need to repeat something once, twice, billion times or someone will have to repeat themselves for us to understand.

Fortunately, I came to a country where I already spoke the language so no biggy there. I've never had to repeat myself to someone or ask someone to repeat themselves.

Funny story, I was at the lil convenient store in front of my house where I buy stuff in case of emergency (since it's crazily overpriced) but I always get my bread there. It's always warm and just delicious.

So the ladies working there pretty much know that I always get the baguette. There are many different types of bread... I thought they were all called baguettes but apparently not.

I was doing my usual bread run, and one of the ladies attended me with much more friendliness than before, maybe because she sees me everyday now. I asked if she could give me a baguette, and she started giggling. Oh great, maybe I said something with a weird Korean-Bolivian-Californian accent or something but then she followed with: "you say baguette so cute!"

I have no idea how saying the word BAGUETTE can sound cute, but hey, I have that effect on people ;) So next time you want to hear the word baguette in a cute way, just slip me a $100 bill and I'll say it for you ;)

EDIT: The whole purpose of this "repeat please" post was to say that the lady at the store made me repeat BAGUETTE twice and kept on saying how cute it was. haha So in my case, the people made me repeat the word, not because they didn't understand it, but for their own pleasure to hear my cuteness! haha
