Day 11: It was another 26 km to finally arrive in RUBIDOSO. But I did it. This place is super small. Apart from the albergue we're staying at, there's like one bar and couple of houses. I gotta say that this is one of my favorite albergues. It's very quiet and resort like. A lot of land, and river that runs through, and it felt AMAZING on my feet, and the bathroom had hot water and doors! (Yea, some of the albergue bathrooms had no doors at all so I'm pretty sure people have seen my gloriousness along the camino). Today was a pretty hilly day. Lots of hills. At my toughest time, trying to climb a hill, something extraordinary funny happened. So I don't know if I've mentioned the SHORT SHORTS guy before. Anyways, he's an italian dud who has EXTREMELY short shorts! Like seriously, you can see allllll his business up in there. And he walks super fast, as if it were easy to walk the camino. Anywhoo, I was struggling to walk up this hill with my fellow friend, I told her that if the short shorts guy appeared, it would be the end of it because I would start laughing, lose my breath, and would no longer be able to walk. We laughed, paused a little, resumed walking and she went ahead of me. I'm trying to get up this hill without dying, and I suddenly hear someone approaching me. I hear a "hola" and as soon as I look to see who it was and say "hola" back, yup, there he was, SHORT SHORTS GUY. I bit my tongue so I wouldn't start laughing, he passed me by like the wind, and I just had to call my friend. She turned around, kinda suspecting the news I was gonna tell her. And we laughed. Oh boi. I almost didn't make it up the hill, but in the end, I stopped laughing and went up. It kinda brightened up my "I want to die" feelings while walking :) haha. To all guys: DO NOT WEAR SHORTS THAT BARELY COVER YOUR BUTT CHEEKS! YOU'D BE DOING ME A GREAT FAVOR, WELL AT LEAST YOU'D BE PROVIDING ME WITH A LOT OF ENDORPHINS!
Day 12: Only 20 kms today :) O'pino (aka Arca) was a pretty chill place. The albergue we were staying at was pretty cool but oh boy did it stink! I was so happy today! Because there was 1 more day left and I knew that I wouldn't have to walk more than 1 km ever! :) However, today it rained!!! The last 2-3 kms we walked in pretty heavy rain, but I'm happy it rained towards the end!! Pretty uneventful day, I think we all took naps and just ate, and chilled.
Day 13: TAN TAN TAN!!!! Today, I was pretty confident and happy. No matter how much pain I was having, I knew that today would be the last day! While we were walking we saw lots of TV station headquarters! I told my fellow friends that it would be so

cool if when I arrived in Santiago, someone would interview me and I'd be on TV. As soon as we walked to Santiago, I felt like this big weight had been lifted of my shoulders! It was the greatest feeling ever, and I CAN'T BELIEVE I JUST
WALKED A LITTLE OVER 300KMS!!! Seriously, 300 kms, is from my house, to Las Vegas! That's pretty cray cray! And guess what, I wasn't exactly on TV, but I did get interviewed by this American guy who has a website on "Career break" so if you want to take a break and do something they have ideas for you! He was doing a special on the Camino and asked my thoughts on it. I asked him later on, if he'd put me on it, and he said maybe because, in his own words, "as soon as I walked by you and you said 'oh I'm going to be on TV' I knew I liked you." So hopefully, he didn't edit me out! So yea, I did it. All those days of complaining and wanting die, went away like it didn't even happen. It felt REALLLLLY GOOD!
Would I do this again? If you asked me this question, while I was walking, I'd say OH HELLLLLLLLLL NO. Sorry if I offended anyone by saying that, but that's probably exactly what I would've said. If you ask me that question now... I'd probably say: "Maybe, I kinda want to do it again, but from St. Jean Pied de Port." The whole 9 yards on the French way of the Camino (I think about 900km-ish about 560miles). I'm not crazy. You just have to walk it. And you'll see why I'm saying I'd do it again. Who knows, maybe this summer, if given permission, I might go :) haha We'll see. It was truly a great experience and I'm happy that I was able to do it. I met amazing people, I grew closer to the people I knew, but most importantly I grew with the big homie G. You have tons of time for just praying and talking the the homie. Truly a great experience.
Thank you for those who were there with me, listening to each and every of my complaints and madness, and for eating those Darby-cakes and packaged croissants. I don't think I'll be able to eat those ever again.
BUEN CAMINO~
