One week's thoughts

Exactly one week ago, I've arrived at this place... I still feel like I have no clue about what's going on in this city but no culture shock so far. I think my "Bolivian-ness" is kinda helping me. Basque people are interesting. Not your average Spanish people, but if you want to know how they're like, they're like GERMANS... Yes, :( sadness, pretty much cold people... 

Anyways, the lady at the market in front of my house as well as the bakery lady underneath my apartment are really nice and the people in my apartment are pretty nice and say hi. haha. I'm still FPO mode where I just smile at everyone I pass by (oh man) but I usually get a hard response and occasionally some people will smile back.

My bag made it! It came in 2 days after so I'm happy now! I'm pretty much settled... but still gotta get a cell phone and stuff for my apartment. Internet is on it's way so hopefully I'll be browsing the net from my apartment. 

Yesterday was a pretty nice and sunny day (after all that snowing and coldness) so I decided to walk around town with a map. I am not a map reader so yea picture me trying to go along town with a map that I might not even be able to read! But yea, it was pretty easy. 

PICTURE THIS: you walk out from your apartment, walk for about 15 minutes, and what do you see? THE BEACH!!!!!!!!!! Sooooo pretty! I took pictures there, and walked along the coast and I ended up in the "Centro" which is basically downtown. Everything is so close! But yea, I can't wait till summer comes because I want to go to the beach when it's warm and just kick it there. 

I'm still friendless because I haven't started the intercambios and work yet, but I'm hoping that'll change soon! Wow I feel like such a loaner... but I'm pretty good at entertaining myself, so I've been spending more time in the kitchen (badddd because I keep on munching) or I just watch tv (all in Spanish, or basque) or I go out and take pictures and look like a total tourist! haha

I miss everybody sooooooo much! I am good so don't worry about me!
